A great philosopher once said,
“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, for it becomes you”
My theoretical approach is exactly this, in that I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients have control over their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors”.
It is critical we develop positive therapeutical alliance’s with clients to allow them to be themselves and feel safe and trusting while in therapy. Therefore, I operate in the here and now and maintain a focus on meeting clients where they are , no matter where they are. Using this client centered approach I believe is critical to establish and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship.
I received my B.S in psychology from Bowie State University and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School Of Professional Psychology CACREP Accredited Program I am currently licensed as a LGPC and have worked in numerous clinical settings.
I welcome and encourage all clients with diverse backgrounds to engage in a non judgmental, empathetic, confidential and empowering therapeutic environment. If willing, allow me to guide you on this journey towards mental wellness.
“The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem”
