Hi! I’m Doug, a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Washington DC specializing in supporting people challenged by anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, and substance use. I work with adults in individual and group therapy.

 At its core, I believe therapy is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist. My goal is to help you both work towards your goals and to overcome the mental health challenges that are in your way. I utilize a psychodynamic approach that is person-centered and informed by Internal Family Systems Therapy. Working together we will create a safe environment where you can begin your own journey to wellness.  

I have a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I’ve completed the IFS Stepping Stone Course from the Internal Family Systems Counseling Association.
