“What is most personal is most universal” -Carl Rogers

Do you ever feel alone in your emotions, like no one could ever fully understand what you are feeling or going through? If you are feeling overwhelmed, alone, or stuck in life, then I want to help.

I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective, emphasizing empowerment, collaboration, and genuineness in the therapeutic relationship. My goal is for you to leave our therapy sessions feeling supported, grounded, and capable of facing life’s challenges. In order to facilitate this, I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling tailored to each individual client that includes existential, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative, and strengths-based therapy, among others.

I am a board-certified Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Washington, DC. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University and my Bachelor of Arts in English Education and Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. In addition to counseling, my background includes two years of teaching high school English, working at a non-profit for severe mental illness, and working at a residential facility for eating disorders.
