Abbie Daigle
Abbie Daigle is a board-certified licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC. Abbie received her BA in psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and received her MS in counseling at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. Abbie holds certifications in both school and clinical mental health counseling, and has a wealth of experience working at the intersection of public school systems and mental health care.
Abbie has experience utilizing a number of theoretical approaches to therapy, but especially grounds herself in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as family systems, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches. Abbie’s approach to therapy is person-centered and integrative in nature. She believes that clients are the expert in their own lives and experiences, and therefore therapy is not “one size fits all.” To this end, Abbie’s primary goal is to meet clients where they are and support them in deepening their understanding of themselves, their intersectional identities, and their unique contexts, empowering them to create meaningful change in their lives.
