My style of therapy is accepting, collaborative, and respectful of individual values and choices. I provide adults in the Washington, D.C. area with individual, couples and group psychotherapy.

I adjust my techniques and theoretical approach depending on your needs, comfort level, and personality. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment so that you may search within to find your own answers through greater self-awareness and self-directed growth. I believe that communication, assertiveness, self-esteem, and the quality and depth of our relationships improve through insight into how our thoughts, feelings, and actions are integrated. My focus is on helping my clients develop the tools to do this successfully.

While I have experience with several general areas of psychotherapy, I also have specialties in couples counseling, working with undergraduate and graduate students, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, anger management and domestic violence.

In making the personal decision to enter therapy, part of that process should be finding the right therapist. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns so that I can be as helpful as possible in that effort.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Women’s Studies from U.C. Berkeley. In 2010 I earned my doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego, and I am currently working as a postdoctoral intern under the supervision of Dr. John Parkhurst.
